Michael K. Christensen skal starte første GP3-løb på Silverstone fra midten af feltet.
Efter lørdagens kvalifikation stod det klart, at danskeren og teamkammeraterne i MW Arden-teamet ikke kan være med de hurtigste. Michael K. Christensen er dog teamets bedste med 14. bedste tid. Den bliver dog vekslet til en startplacering som nummer 13, da Robert Wickens på ottendepladsen bærer en placeringsstraf med sig fra løbene i Valencia.
Igen er det Esteban Gutierrez der skiller sig ud og tager sin anden pole position i træk. Mexicaneren i ART Grand Prix-bilen var knap seks tiendedele bedre end Ryo Haryanto. Michael K. Christensens afstand til polesitteren er 1,1 sekund i et ellers tæt felt, hvor et halvt sekund kunne have givet en startplacering i top tre.
Første løb køres lørdag eftermiddag, mens andet løb afvikles søndag formiddag.
